Scotland and Northern Ireland

Remit:

  • To influence Scottish, Northern Ireland and UK debate and policy on matters related to academic administration and the student experience
  • To reflect the Scotland and Northern Ireland perspective in UK policy development
  • To engage with Scottish Government, Universities Scotland, Scottish Funding Council and other agencies on matters related to academic administration and the student experience
  • To stimulate debate and to share good practice on issues affecting academic administration and the student experience
  • To participate in working groups and committees operating within and across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the UK
  • To support members and their colleagues in performing their roles in institutions by encouraging the provision of relevant professional development programmes in Scotland and Northern Ireland
  • To provide a focus for networking and development

This ARC Practitioner Group has been set up for Academic Registrars working in Scotland and Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for Academic Registrars to influence Scottish, Northern Ireland and UK debate and policy on matters related to academic administration and the student experience.
